Reno, Lake Tahoe and a spectacular view….

Rolled into Reno on hot Monday afternoon and met up with some good friends (who shall remain nameless for security purposes) who were kind enough to offer us some shelter and entertain us for a couple days. Did some gambling and and got a good meal and some beers at the Silver Peak Brewery that night. The next morning Kelly and I and Seamus checked out the south shore area of Lake Tahoe. Emerald Bay, Cave Rock, walked along the beach for a while, lots of good eye medicine. That Tuesday night we met up with Kirk and Andrea (oops) ;-) and his parents Ed and Diane who happened to be in town. Dinner, drinks and a spectacular view at Anchor’s in a marina in Sparks, NV capped off a real nice couple days spent enjoying Reno and the Tonkels.

BTW, downtown Reno has the coolest river(the Trucksee? maybe) flowing through it. Not huge, but rolling. Public access and inner tubes were the norm. Very cool.

And no more issues with the cargo box.

Thank.
God.

Next up McKinleyville.
