For real.
Wrapping up spending 3 days with our great friends Goose and Jesse, and their incredibly wonderful kids Paige, Alyssa, Jacob, and LZ (Luka Zeppelin). Kelly and I both commented that they were without question the best behaved kids we’ve met. What a great time we’ve had. So good in fact, we stayed an extra day longer than we had planned. The weather was a constant 65-70 degrees, and of course no humidity.
We managed to hit the beach a couple times, and checked out a short hike to a Redwood grove just outside the Humboldt State University campus. If you’ve never hugged or even seen a Redwood, you are definitely missing out. Words can’t describe how impressive they are. Of course we made it out to a couple of the local joints. Six Rivers Brewery for lunch one day, Big Pete’s Pizzeria for dinner once, Big Blue a comfort food joint in the square in Arcata, CA, and last night Kelly and I whipped up dinner for the birthday girl Jesse, before heading out to a couple bars to down some celebratory libations.

Well, so far so good. Officially, we are on day 8 of 30. We’ve knocked out about 3200 miles, 7 states, and at least 15 different kinds of beer. Good times.
Heading up the Cali coast today to Redwood National Park, and then on into Oregon for 3-4 days of coastal camping. Just me, Fred and Seamus.
