Busted by the Canadian Border Patrol!
Posted by Mac on August 15th, 2008 filed in UncategorizedWell, not really. But they did refuse a couple of us entry thanks to some previous arrests the Canadian government deems makes you unfit to enter their country. So, no Vancouver for us.
Thanks Canada.
The day before however we had quite a great day. Went on a three hour sea kayaking trip around Burrows Island in the Rosario Strait. What a cool thing to do. Our guide Josh led us on the trip. Awesome human. There was a group of eleven of us. Saw a bunch of seals, some Buffalo Kelp ?, and various other marine wildlife, but no whales. The kayaking itself took a bit of getting used to. Wearing the skirt and life jacket combo was a bit cumbersome, and the pedals in the boat took some getting used to, but overall a great experience. Definitely do it again.
Tonite we are staring down some good beer, beef kabobs and comfort home cooking thanks to our in house chef Julie Owens.
Tomorrow, the Bellingham Farmers Market, some clamming in the bay and home made chowder, and a trip to the San Juan Islands.
Day 20 of 30.
The saga continues.
