It’s all happening…
Posted by Mac on May 19th, 2009 filed in Music, Parties, Travel, VacationBeen quite some time since I last manned the board here. Too long….
To bring you up to speed, the last couple months have been anything but boring around here.
On Saturday May 9th, yours truly finally completed his efforts towards obtaining and graduating with his MBA. Yes, I am proud!!!
We had a little gathering of about 50 close friends on the patio at The Stable . If you’ve never been, you should check it out. Without question the best beer selection in the Saint Louis Area. Period. Jerad, Jeff and Jason made sure no one was without for any length of time. The deep melodious grooves of Think Tank’s reggae dub filled the patio all of that glorious afternoon. I can honestly say this was one of the best days of my life. To be surrounded by my closest friends and family, all celebrating the 3 years of hard work can not be overstated enough. It was surely an awesome day I will not ever forget.
The week prior to that, Fred and I and Seamus, Matt and Brooke, Steve and Lauren, Ryan, Tom, Susan and Ron, Rob and Lisa and Lola and Bella and Gabe, and Gabe and Michelle and their 2 kids, and Sean and Krista and Gavin, Megan, and Ian, Diane and Harry, Don and ?, and all 33 of us, spent a week of lounging on the beach in San Destin, FL. For the third year in a row, we managed to secure 4 prime residential spots on the ultra exclusive and private Tang O Mar beach. It doesn’t get much better than this folks. Sugar white sands and golf cart rides to the beach are the norm here. Couple that with an awesome fish fry, loaded with Reds, that we caught ourselves the day before, and you have yourself one awesome week!
Up next, a surprise 30th B-Day party for my brother Matt, where again, we’ll be treated to the ass dancing grooves of Scott and Andy’s Think Tank. Not too mention some backyard cornhole and the ever present sauce that stirs the party live. It looks like good times for sure….updates to follow. Til then..

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
